I heard that voice in the night
(1 Samuel 3:4) - “The Lord called Samuel…” God calls before recognition and understanding.

Cut through the black like a knife
(2 Corinthians 4:6) - “God… made his light shine in our hearts…” God brings light into darkness, revealing truth within.

You called out to me from the dark
(Exodus 3:4) - “Moses, Moses!” God calls personally out of the burning bush, initiating a direct encounter.

Like You knew me from the start
(Jeremiah 1:5) - “Before I formed you… I knew you” God’s call is rooted in prior knowledge and purpose.

I was running with the crowd
(1 Corinthians 15:33) - “Bad company corrupts good character” Association with the wrong people leads to corruption.

Chasing what I couldn’t keep
(Ecclesiastes 1:14) - “Chasing after the wind” Earthly pursuits cannot satisfy or endure.

Slippin’ backwards in too deep
(Proverbs 14:12) - “Seems right… but leads to death” Sin deceives and leads downward.

Tried to drown what I knew was true
(Romans 1:18) - “Suppress the truth…” Truth is known but resisted.

But I couldn’t outrun You
(Psalm 139:7–10) - “Where can I flee…?” God’s presence cannot be escaped.

Every step away led me closer to the grave
(Romans 6:23) - “The wages of sin is death” Separation from God leads to destruction.

Then You spoke -and my everything slowed
(Psalm 46:10) - “Be still, and know that I am God” God’s voice stills chaos and demands attention.

Felt the yoke-the weight of my own load
(Psalm 38:4) - “My guilt has overwhelmed me like a burden too heavy to bear” Sin creates a weight that cannot be carried alone.

I felt that voice in the dark
(1 Kings 19:12) - “A gentle whisper” God’s voice is not always loud or external, but perceived inwardly and quietly.

Calling me back to where You are
(Luke 15:20) - “While he was still a long way off, his father saw him… and ran to his son…” The Father initiates the return and restores relationship.

You left the ninety-nine
(Luke 15:4) – “Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine … go after the lost sheep…”The Shepherd leaves the ninety-nine to pursue the one who is lost.

No matter how far
(Romans 8:38–39) - “Neither death nor life… nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God…” Distance does not break God’s pursuing love or relationship.

Through every shadow I made
(Psalm 107:10–11) - “Some sat in darkness… for they had rebelled against God…” Darkness can be the result of personal rebellion, not just circumstance.

Through every step I betrayed
(Isaiah 53:6) - “We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way” Deliberate wandering away from God’s path.

You never stopped calling out my name
(Revelation 3:20) - “I stand at the door and knock…” Christ persistently seeks response and waits for us to open.

Till I broke under my shame
(Psalm 51:17) - “A broken and contrite heart… you will not despise” God receives the one who is broken in repentance.

You didn’t leave me where I fell
(Psalm 37:23–24) - “Though he stumble… the Lord upholds him” God sustains and restores.

Didn’t write my story there
(Philippians 1:6) - “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion…” God continues His work and does not leave it unfinished.

My debts You gladly paid
(Colossians 2:14) - “Canceling the record of debt…” Christ removes our debt completely.

Pulled me from the trap I made
(Psalm 40:2) - “He lifted me out of the pit” God rescues even from self-made ruin.

Brought me where the waters are still
(Psalm 23:2) - “Leads me beside still waters” God leads into peace and rest.

Filled my cup till it overflowed
(Psalm 23:5) - “My cup overflows” God provides abundance beyond need.

What I broke and the Enemy stole
(John 10:10) - “The thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy” Sin and the enemy both bring destruction.

Restored my heart and made me whole
(Psalm 23:3) - “He restores my soul” God brings complete inner restoration.

I hear You now - I know that tone
(John 10:4) - “They know his voice” The sheep recognize the Shepherd’s voice.

I know now I was never alone
(Hebrews 13:5) - “I will never leave you” God’s presence is constant.

(Psalm 18:19) - “He brought me into a broad place” God leads into freedom and relief.

Spoke to my storm with a voice so gentle
(Matthew 11:29) - “I am gentle and humble in heart…and you will find rest…” Christ’s nature is gentle and brings rest.

Made me rest where the waters are still
(Psalm 23:2) - “He makes me lie down…” God enforces rest and peace.

You restored every shattered part
(Ezekiel 36:26) - “I will give you a new heart” God renews what is broken.

You set my table where my enemies see
(Psalm 23:5) - “You prepare a table before me…” God provides and vindicates openly.

(Psalm 130:5) - “I wait for the Lord… and in his word I put my hope” Eager anticipation and longing to hear from God.
